I’ve blindfolded some people, one by one, giving them the same objects and exact instructions. They could touch, taste, smell the object and so on, then they had to draw it. People felt in need to describe their experience, other ones just draw, using colors or just a pencil.

 

As an observer, I’ve noticed the amplification of the touching experience caused by the temporary blindness. We pay attention to this sense just when we are in lack of the one we rely most on. I focused on our ways to imagine and keeping things in our mind, on the basic approach with the tangible world around us.

Then I’ve decided to live this sensorial experience in first person, trying all the mentioned steps.

For the final exhibition I’ve shown the three different experiences with the objects - my covered or open eyes were a kind of description.
